Howe Green “raises the bar” at former Olympic site

During the 2012 London Olympics and Paralympic Games the International Press and Broadcast Centre played host to the world’s media. 20,000 journalists were at the heart of the action, reporting the latest triumphs and Olympian feats to a global audience estimated to be over 4 billion people.

Fast forward to 2017 and these key buildings continue to form a central element of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The Centre is undergoing a commercial redevelopment to become Here East – the exciting digital quarter for East London.

Investment in new wards at County Hospital Stafford protected by Yeoman Shield

County Hospital, Stafford, have invested in 4 new wards which are to be opened throughout the year, offering more patient beds and spacious areas conducive to patient care and staff wellbeing.

The first of such wards to be opened is Elderly Care, Ward 15, which - now containing 28 beds with 12 single en-suite rooms, four, four bedded bays, a dedicated rehabilitation/therapy space, counselling and day room – is a great improvement on what was previously available. Read more...

The Merits of No Maintenance Construction

Moses Gate Country Park near Bolton had beautiful wooden walkways and bridges, now they have fallen into disrepair - boarded off with warning signs.

The lakeside decking is warped and covered in broken chicken wire to help prevent slippage on the green slime that has bedded into the wood.

It’s a disappointing sight, far removed from the original inspiration.

Farrow Court Sheltered Housing

Farrow Court is one of Ashford's older sheltered housing schemes. Planning permission was granted to redevelop the site to provide a new dementia-friendly facility comprising a much larger day centre for use by the local community as well as the residents of Farrow Court.

Oxden Floors Limited were contracted to supply and install floor coverings to 33 flats and communal areas totalling 4000 square metres as part of the new build works of Phase 1.
